Lady Gaga wore a bulletproof dress during Biden inauguration performance

Lady Gaga chose a special style to perform the national anthem at President Biden's Jan inauguration.

But the navy and reddish Schiaparelli gown wasn't simply custom couture, it was as well a "bulletproof dress."

"This is one of my favorite things I've e'er worn," Gaga said of the look, while reflecting on her nearly memorable outfits for British Vogue.

"I wore this Schiaparelli pattern for the inauguration, and nobody knows this, but this is a impenetrable apparel."

The wearing apparel, designed by Schiaparelli artistic director Daniel Roseberry, featured a fitted jacket, voluminous brim, and — the piece de resistance — a giant gold pigeon brooch symbolizing peace.

"When I saw that golden pigeon, I simply knew that this was the right piece," Gaga said of the brooch, a smaller version of which was on sale for $2,000 this summer with funds supporting the superstar's Built-in This Fashion Foundation.

For the 35-year-old "Rain On Me" singer — who chose the Italian luxury label to nod to her "heritage equally an Italian-American woman" — the dove was peculiarly symbolic on Inauguration Twenty-four hour period.

"I'll never forget speaking to this swain that I was with," the star added of Marine Capt. Evan Campbell, who escorted her to the microphone for her performance in January.

"He was asking me if I was nervous, and I said yes. But sometimes, fashion can really give you lot wings … like a dove."

In add-on to revisiting iconic looks for British Faddy, the star fronts the fashion bible's December issue, modeling a serial of over-the-superlative couture looks and posing nude inside the stylish spread.

She farther discussed her bulletproof dress in the accompanying interview, calling Inauguration Day "i of the proudest days of my whole life."

"Similar many people in America, I felt a deep fearfulness when Trump was president, and ushering 45 out and 46 in is something I'll exist able to tell my children all about," Gaga said.

"Singing in a Schiaparelli bulletproof dress. I don't know if people know this about me, merely if I weren't who I am today, I would have been a gainsay journalist. That was i of my dreams," she added.
